What is AiN Collective?

AiN (Automotive Impact Network) was created to connect businesses across the country that were already doing meaningful, positive work in their local communities.

What began as a social impact network focused on auto repair shops has evolved into a broader community resource. Today, AiN supports businesses, nonprofits, and individuals by creating collaborative pathways for impact, sustainability, and mutual support.

Through partnerships, technology, and shared values, AiN continues to expand its mission—connecting people and organizations who believe that doing good and doing business well can, and should, go hand in hand.

How AiN Creates Impact

A self-sustaining ecosystem where every transaction helps someone in need.

4

Community Thrives

Funds help families in crisis get back on the road and back to their lives.

Addressing Transportation Insecurity

One of AiN's foundational initiatives is the Stranded Motorist Fund (SMF), designed to address transportation insecurity—specifically helping individuals and families in crisis who cannot afford critical vehicle repairs.

For many people, a reliable vehicle is the difference between maintaining employment, accessing healthcare, caring for family members, or becoming further destabilized. When transportation fails, everything else is at risk.

We believe the automotive repair industry is uniquely positioned to lead the solution to this problem. Auto repair professionals have the technical expertise, infrastructure, and firsthand understanding of how vehicle failure impacts daily life.

Where It All Began

In 1994, Dan Adam earned his ASE Master Technician certification. Five years later, he bought a small auto shop in Colorado Springs with one mission: prove that mechanics can be trusted.

He didn't just want to fix cars. He wanted to fix an industry known for taking advantage of people.

25 years later, that shop—Adam & Son Auto Repair—has given back over $260,000 to the community. The success of that model inspired the creation of AiN Collective and ShopGiv: tools to help any business become a force for good.

Dan's still here. So is the mission.
