Automotive Impact Network

Connecting social impact auto shops and building sustainable solutions to transportation insecurity.

What is AiN?

AiN (Automotive Impact Network) was created to connect automotive repair shops across the country that were already doing meaningful, positive work in their local communities. Through a growing set of social impact initiatives, AiN seeks to unify these efforts, amplify their impact, and demonstrate the powerful role the automotive industry can play in addressing real-world challenges.

What began as a social impact network focused on auto repair shops has evolved into a broader community resource. Today, AiN supports businesses, nonprofits, and individuals by creating collaborative pathways for impact, sustainability, and mutual support. Through partnerships, technology, and shared values, AiN continues to expand its mission—connecting people and organizations who believe that doing good and doing business well can, and should, go hand in hand.

Addressing Transportation Insecurity

One of AiN's foundational initiatives is the Stranded Motorist Fund (SMF), which was designed to address transportation insecurity—specifically helping individuals and families in crisis who cannot afford critical vehicle repairs.

For many people, a reliable vehicle is the difference between maintaining employment, accessing healthcare, caring for family members, or becoming further destabilized. When transportation fails, everything else is at risk.

We believe the automotive repair industry is uniquely positioned to lead the solution to this problem. Auto repair professionals have the technical expertise, infrastructure, and firsthand understanding of how vehicle failure impacts daily life. More importantly, the industry has a long history of generosity, community involvement, and problem-solving.

Where It All Began

It started with a family auto repair shop in Colorado Springs that believed business could be about more than just profit. Adam & Son Auto Repair has been serving the community since 1999, pioneering the social impact model that inspired everything AiN has become.
